2.1 Safety instructions in case of malfunction
Check the following:
•
Has the appliance been used according to instructions?
•
Are all possibly removable parts refitted?
•
Is the main switch in the ON position?
•
Are the circuit breakers (fuses) of the appliance in the electrical supply central in
working order? Ask an authorized person to check the circuit breakers.
•
If this does not help, contact an authorized service person.
2.2 Disposal of the appliance
The disposal of the appliance when its economical lifetime has been reached must be car-
ried out in accordance with local rules and regulations. Contact professional personnel
specializing in recycling.
2.3 Installation
Electrical and water connections must be carried out by authorized personnel only.
Make sure that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the data plate of the ap-
pliance. The machine shall be connected to the main switch.
Water connection must be carried out in a manner that complies with the regulations of
the local water supply authority. Check the tightness at the connection point before start-
ing up. See also “Water connections” in Chapter “Installation”.
2.4 Detergent and rinse aid
Only detergent and rinse aid which are ment for dishwashing machines are allowed. Hand
dishwashing detergent must not be used because it results in excessive foam and poor
dishwashing result. Contact your dishwashing detergent supplier for the choice of a suit-
able detergent and rinse aid. Pay attention to the risks involved in the handling of machine
dishwashing detergents and rinse aids (see safety instructions of the detergent).
Protective gloves and coggles should be used when handling machine dishwashing deter-
gent and rinse aid. Read warning text on the detergent and rinse aid container.
