The dimensions shown and defined in the fireplace
manufacturer’s instructions, are the minimum clearances that
must be maintained, when installing this appliance.

Follow these instructions to insure safe installation. Failure to
follow these instructions exactly, can create a fire hazard.

SIDEWALL & CEILING CLEARANCES

The sides of the fireplace opening must be a minimum of six
( 6” ) inches from any combustible wall material.

The ceiling must be a minimum of forty-two ( 42” ) inches from
the fireplace opening. ( SEE FIGURE 2 )

MANTEL CLEARANCES WITHOUT HOOD

You must have non-combustible material above the fireplace
opening. Non-combustible material must extend a minimum of
twelve ( 12” ) inches above the fireplace opening.

When

using sheet metal, you must have non-combustible material
behind it. ( SEE FIGURE 3 )

Heat resistant materials, such as slate and marble, must be at
least ½” thick.

Sheet metal should NOT be installed onto

combustible material.

If you can not meet these minimum clearances, you MUST
operate this appliance with the chimney flue damper open, OR
you must use a hood. See instructions for vented operations.
