Safety instructions for laser class 2
WARNING
•
Read the Sick Quickstart before starting any work.
•
Caution - If operating or adjusting devices other than those specified here are
used or other procedures are carried out, this can lead to dangerous exposure to
radiation.
•
Temporary irritating optical effects cannot be completely ruled out, especially in
the case of low ambient brightness. Irritating optical effects are e.g. B. glare, flash
blindness, afterimages, photoepilepsy or impaired color vision.
•
Optical radiation laser class 2
The human eye is not endangered with short-term irradiation of up to 0.25 seconds.
If you look into the laser beam for a long time, damage to the retina is possible. The
laser radiation is harmless to human skin.

- Do not intentionally stare into the laser beam.
–
- Do not point the laser beam at people's eyes.
–
- A direct look into the laser beam cannot be ruled out e.g. Use suitable eye
protection, e.g. for commissioning and maintenance work.
–
- Avoid reflections of the laser beam on reflective surfaces. Pay particular
attention to this during assembly and alignment work.
–
- Do not open the housing. Opening the housing can increase the risk.
–
- Observe the valid national regulations for laser protection
