Move the tensioning roller to the right, pulling
the belt off.

Position the belt on the groove and on the
pulley relative to the speed that must be set.
Refer to the table in figure 27.

Move the tensioning roller to the left and put
the belt under tension until there are about 12
mm of belt deflection on the opposite side to
that of the tensioning roller.
The figure shows how to check the correct tension
using a ruler and a finger.

Simply apply moderate tension to check the belt tension!

Close the guard of the gearbox.

How to set up the automatic feed of the carriage
Adjusting the Speed
Despite the presence of the micro-safety switch on the casing to access the gearbox, it is
forbidden to change the automatic feed gears before turning off the machine and unplugging
the power cord.
The automatic longitudinal feed originates in the
spindle, which transmits motion to the lead screw
connected to the spindle itself by means of gears that
allow for the variation in the rotational speed.
The lead screw, with its rotation motion, exerts a
thrust on the fixed casing of the carriage,
determining the automatic feed, in a longitudinal
direction.

For the execution of threading with an automatic feed of the carriage, it is necessary first of
all, to set the correct feed according to the thread step desired.
For the selection, combination and assembly of gears, refer to the automatic feed plate on
the machine.
