4.2.2
Head and spindle
The different spindle speeds are obtained by means of a
gearbox with transmission belts (see also section 4.2.3 of this
manual).
The spindle is installed on the head shaft, and is supported by
precision bearings.
It is self-centring, with three clamps (jaws) which permit the
work piece to be locked safely and stably.

For the opening / closing of the jaws it is necessary to insert a special key in the housing
(square cross-section), on the outer contour of the spindle.
The danger zone, in the vicinity of the spindle, is protected by a moveable interlocking guard,
which consists of a polycarbonate screen plate with micro-safety switch.
4.2.3
Spindle speed change
The adjustment of the spindle rotation speed is obtained by positioning the drive belt, housed
in the gear compartment, as indicated on the following plate.

Adjusting the Speed
Despite the presence of the micro-safety switch on the casing to access the pulleys, it is
forbidden to change the speed of rotation before turning off the machine and unplugging the
power cord.
