3. ASSEMBLY
Before any work on the power tool,
remove the battery.
The battery must be charged before first
use.
Inserting the battery into the machine (Fig. D)
Ensure that the exterior of the battery is
clean and dry before connecting to the
charger or machine.
1. Insert the battery (5) into the base of the
machine as shown in Fig. D.
2. Push the battery further forward until it clicks
into place.
Removing the battery from the machine (Fig. D)
1. Push the battery unlock button (6).
2. Pull the battery out of the machine like shown
in Fig. D.
Removing and mounting accessories (fig. B)
Worn or damaged accessories must be
replaced immediately.
Only use sharp and undamaged
accessories.
1. Release the quick change lever (4) and slide
the accessory forward to remove from the
holder.
2. Slide the accessory in the holder and fasten
the quick change lever (4).
The sanding pad and the sanding paper must be
used for sanding applications.
Mounting the dust extraction (fig. C)
The dust extraction piece can be used to connect
the machine to a vacuum cleaner when sanding.
Dust will be extracted and your work area stays
cleaner.
The dust extraction adapter can only be
used in combination with the sanding
pad (8).
To install the dust extraction adapter:
1. If not done yet, remove the accessories from
the machine.
2. Assemble the dust extraction adapter (7) like
shown in Fig. C.
3. Mount the dust extraction adapter (7) by
tightening the screw.
4. Assemble the sanding pad like instructed in
previous chapter.
5. Connect a vacuum cleaner to the adapter.
4. OPERATION
Switching on and off (fig. A)
• To switch on the machine, slide the on/off
switch (1) to the front.
• To switch off the machine, slide the on/off
switch (1) to the rear.
Hints for optimum use
• Clamp the workpiece. Use a clamping device
for small workpieces.
• Draw a line to define the direction in which to
guide the accessory.
• Firmly hold the machine by the grip.
• Switch on the machine.
• Wait until the machine has reached full speed.
• Place the accessory on the workpiece.
• Slowly move the machine along the pre-drawn
line, firmly pressing the accessory against the
workpiece.
• Do not apply too much pressure on the
machine. Let the machine do the work.
• Switch off the machine and wait for the
machine to come to a complete standstill
before putting the machine down
5. MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning and maintenance, always
switch off the machine and remove the
battery pack from the machine.
Clean the machine casings regularly with a soft
cloth, preferably after each use. Make sure that
the ventilation openings are free of dust and
dirt. Remove very persistent dirt using a soft
cloth moistened with soapsuds. Do not use any
solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, ammonia,
