The calibration menu option in the software
also includes a tab for Hardware Diagnostics.
This tool can be used to run simple test cases
on your instrument to identify and diagnose
potential hardware issues. There are three
automated test cases, Checking Sensor
Signals, Checking Ambient Measurement, and
Checking Calibration Parameters.
To run diagnostics on your instrument, make
sure you are in a setting where your instrument
can draw clean, ambient air. Navigate to the
main menu screen and highlight the Measure
menu option. Then, in the software, press the
‘Start’ button. The diagnostics will
automatically initiate a continuous
measurement to run the standardized tests on
the sensors. Once the diagnostic testing has
been initiated, the start button will switch to
read ‘abort’. You can use this button to stop
the diagnostic tests without harm to the
instrument. If you press the start button again
after aborting the diagnostic tests, the tests will
start over from the beginning.
