TECHNICAL DATA

The  instructions  contained  in  this  manual  must  be  strictly

followed, it should be carefully read and kept close at hand to

use when carrying out maintenance on the indicated parts.

If the tool is used with care and normal maintenance is carried

out, it will work well for a long time.

The functions and use of the tool you have bought shall be

only those described in this manual.

Any other use of the

tool is strictly forbidden.

PLANER SAFETY RULES

Planer Safety Rules

- Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool down. An

exposed cutter may engage the surface leading to possible

loss of control and serious injury.

- Do not reach into the saw dust ejector with your hands.

They could be injured by rotating parts.

- Apply the machine to the workpiece only when switched on.

Otherwise there is danger of kickback when the cutting tool

jams in the workpiece.

- When working, always hold the planer in such a manner that

the planer base plate faces flat on the workpiece. Otherwise

the planer can become wedged and lead to injuries.

- Never plane over metal objects, nails or screws. The planer

blade and the blade shaft can become damaged and lead to

increased vibrations.

- Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamping

devices or in a vice is held more secure than by hand.

- Never use the machine with a damaged cable.

Do  not  touch  the  damaged  cable  and  pull  the  mains  plug

when the cable is damaged while working. Damaged cables

increase the risk of an electric shock.

Products sold in GB only: Your product is fitted with an BS

16/A  approved  electric  plug  with  internal  fuse  (ASTA

approved to BS 16).

If the plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it should

be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted in its place by an

authorised  customer  service  agent.  The  replacement  plug

should have the same fuse rating as the original plug.

The severed plug must be disposed of to avoid a possible

shock  hazard  and  should  never  be  inserted  into  a  mains

socket elsewhere.

Products sold in AUS and NZ only: Use a residual current

device (RCD) with a rated residual current of 0 mA or less.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This  tool  has  been  designed  to  rout  wood  and  similar

materials, to plane irregular surfaces and to cant off edges.

BEFORE USING THIS TOOL

Before using the tool, make sure the mains voltage is correct:

it  must  be  the  same  as  that  on  the  specification  label.

Machines with 0V can also be connected to a 0-V mains

supply.

START UP

WARNING! Only plug in when machine is switched off.

Press the locking button A, and squeeze the trigger in the on/

off switch B. When the on/off switch is released, the machine

stops.

For safety reasons, it is not possible to lock On/Off switch

B, instead it has to be pressed while the machine is being

used.

CONSTANT ELECTRONICS (Mod. PF102/1100VES)

The built-in module permits:

- Soft start.

- The maintenance of a practically constant rated speed

up to rated power.

- An  overload  protection  system  by  means  of  current

cut-off  in  the  case  of  motor  overload,  in  which  case  the

burring machine shuts down and re-starts when the grinding

pressure has been reduced.
