.
In the factory condition and with analog inputs selected as the chosen input via the command
sor 1
, the StarterKit’s switches, button and speed regulators are all recognized and operational.
The speed of the drive is set up via the speed regulators “Speed 1“ and “Speed 2“. One of
the two regulators sets the speed range, which may then be precisely adjusted with the other
regulator. The direction of rotation is set via the “Left/Right“ switch.
The drive is stopped and started via the “Start/Stop“ button.
The acceleration ramp, which controls the motor’s acceleration and deceleration, is set via the
“Ramp” regulator. If this regulator is turned anti-clockwise to the end-stop, the acceleration
ramp will be set to 0 rpm/sec
2
and the drive will be unable to change speed.
Two potentiometers are provided to allow the output voltage to be set. The first of these is
located on the MCBL 07002 and is available to the user. The second is located in the MCBL
07002 cabinet on the MCBL 05002 board itself, and is set up in such a way that it permits a
maximum of 1500 mV
eff
to be set by the external speed regulator. It is thus ensured that the
user cannot cause immediate overheating of the drive by turning the voltage potentiometer
up to its maximum value.
If a higher voltage is to be generated via the external potentiometer, then the internal poten-
tiometer must be set to a higher value. In this case there is a danger that the motor may be
burned out. However, even if the potentiometer is left exactly as it was set up in the factory,
this is still not a guarantee that the motor cannot be damaged! This is still possible.
The other features of the MCBL 07002 are identical to those of the MCBL 05002.
The FAULHABER Group wishes you every success!
