Heading Arrow 

The Heading Arrow is a line extending forward from your vessel’s bow.  To turn the 
heading arrow on or off, touch 

Setup, Contour, Heading Arrow

.   

    

 

Hazard 

The Heading Arrow is typically displayed in green. It turns 

red

 when the Depth Alarm is 

triggered or if the Look Ahead data window indicates a collision (based on present 
heading).

 

 

  

Area Display 

The Area Display is a notation on the contour chart indicating the rough dimensions of 
the Contour Chart that is currently being displayed.  Pictured below under "East"
