1. Insert the disc in your drive and allow approximately 30 seconds for it to
be recognized.
2. In the Navigator Menu, touch the Setup button.
3. Select Charts and then select
Copy Charts from Disc
.
4. Maestro Navigator scans the CD/DVD and copies the charts onto your
hard drive. Because of the large amounts of data that are included on
each disc, expect the copying process to take a while.
5. Repeat this process for each CD/DVD. They can be copied/installed in
any order.
Caution!
The Chart Plotter cannot be used to navigate during the copy/install process. Be sure to
allow plenty of time before you begin. When copying is complete, the disc will stop
spinning and the Copy Charts window closes.
Note!
Product registration required
Nautical Charts and Contour 3D Charts must be unlocked before they can be used.
Unlocking requires a special code obtained during product registration.
To register your chart product(s), and unlock your nautical/contour charts,
contact Faria registration at
877-405-1010.
One registration per chart region includes
both nautical and contour charts.
Maestro Navigator recognizes Faria BSB format charts. The older Faria PCX format
(often used for international charts) is not compatible with Maestro Navigator.
Delete Charts
To delete unused or obsolete charts and free up disk, touch
Setup, Charts, Delete
Charts
. A list of installed charts is displayed. Click on the name of the chart and it is
highlighted with
red font
.
Touch
Delete
to remove the chart or
Close
to close the Charts Setup menu without
deleting.
