Netopia ISDN Modem User’s Guide
Connecting analog equipment
To connect a touch-tone telephone, answering machine, fax
machine, or external analog modem to the Netopia ISDN Modem:
1.
Turn off the computer and ensure that the Netopia ISDN
Modem is not plugged in.
2.
Inser t one RJ-11 connector into one of the analog device por ts
on the Netopia ISDN Modem (these por ts are labeled with a
telephone icon).
Note:
You need to provide an RJ-11 to RJ-11 cable for each
analog device por t connection.
3.
Inser t the other end of the cable into the appropriate RJ-11 por t
on the analog device.
4.
Repeat steps
2
and
3
to connect an additional analog device.
