SECTION 4 - CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Falcon recommendthat the oven be cleanedat least
once a day to maintain acceptable hygiene
standards.
The use of abrasive cleaning materials or pads to
clean any section of the oven is not recommended.
The unit has been designed to facilitate cleaning and
should not require aggressive detergents or pads
if cleanedon a regular basis.
Important
Unit must be on standby position and the oven
compartment allowed to cool to a minimum of
50
o
C before commencing cleaning.
Cleaning the Compartment
1. Ensure oven is off.
2. Cool oven temperature to 50
o
C using cool down
facility as described.
3. Apply a milddetergent spray cleaner to all internal
surfaces of the oven.
4. Leave the cleaner for the duration recommended
by the manufacturer (approx. 20 mins).
5. Set oven at steam mode of 100
o
C for 10 minutes
as described. The oven will steam for 10 minutes
andhygienically remove foodd
ebris andthe
chemical cleaner.
6. Carefully open the oven door as described.
7. Remove the grids, gridsupports, fat filter anddrip
tray andwash these components in a sink.
8. Use warm water anda milddetergent with a soft
cloth to wash out the oven interior.
9. Use a cloth soakedin clean coldwater to
thoroughly rinse away any remaining fooddebris
andchemical cleaner.
10. Use a clean lint free tea towel to dry all areas.
11. Dry all parts washedby hand.
12. Reassemble all components.
Cleaning the Oven Fan.
After cooking a large quantity of fatty foods, it may be
necessary to clean the oven fan if debris is still visible
after the standard cleaning process.
Step 1
Switch the unit off at the mains supply.
Step 2
Remove the protective guardby undoing the fixings.
Step 3
Clean as required.
Step 4
Replace fan guard. The unit is now ready for
operation.
Fat Filter
After use, the fat filter shouldbe soakedin a mild
detergent and cleaned with a brush.
