The by-pass loop should be located downstream from the filter to minimise the build up of dirt in the heat exchanger,
but upstream from the injection of disinfection or pH adjusting chemicals (allow a distance of at least 1.5 m of pipe)
to minimise the risk of corrosion of the heat exchanger. The injection of treatment chemicals should be slaved to
filtration. Ensure that the installation configuration will not allow accidental siphoning from the treatment chemical
tanks while filtration is not running.
Be careful not to allow impurities (stones, earth, etc.) to enter the pipes. These could clog the heat exchanger upon
start up.
Two screw type adapter unions can be found on one side of the heat pump, these allow entry and exit of the pool
water (marked). The water inlet and outlet pipes should be glued to these unions. allow the glued unions to cure
thoroughly before allowing water into the circuit.
Wiring
Single phase machine
3 phase machine
NoteThe heat pump must be correctly earthed.
