8.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
The NEBUFIRST
®
INHALER
was subjected to a thorough inspection prior to delivery. Should a malfunction nevertheless arise,
you may possibly be able to rectify it yourself if you observe the following instructions.
Symptom of malfunction
Possible cause
Remedy
Device fails to start
operating
The mains plug is not well seated.
Check all plug connections. Observe the
indicator light; this must be lit if connection
has been correctly established.
Motor has overheated as a result of insuffi

cient cooling.
Switch off the device, disconnect the mains
plug!
Keep the ventilation slits free from
obstructions.
Wait until the motor has cooled down.
Medication is not
sufficiently nebulised
Air tube is kinked.
Use the air tube in such a way that no kinks
can occur.
The nebuliser nozzle is blocked.
Clean in accordance with Section 6.1.3/
6.1.4 or replace the nebuliser.
Fluid in air tube.
Please see 6.1.2
Quantity of medication is too low.
Check dosage.
