1.2. Mains filters
It is recomended to insert a mains filter at each axis.
Use the noise filter manufactured by
· SCHAFFNER ·
at the brake power input for servomotors
with holding brakes.
Relationship between servo drive power and noise filter current:
Note:
 single-phase servo drive should apply a two-phase filter. A three-phase servo drive
should apply a three-phase filter.

Choose the right filter according the specifications of operating voltage, current, and
manufacturer.
 Recommended noise filter of 400 Vac servo drive:
MANDATORY.
In order to comply with European Directive 2014/35/EU on Low Voltage (LVD) and
2014/30/EU on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), it is mandatory to insert a mains
filter in the system.
