Replacing the Power Supplies
The control plane (CP) and the data plane (DP) can each accommodate two
power supplies – all accessible from the back of the system. The following
figure shows the location of the power supplies.

DANGER
An ARX configured with four power supplies has four power cords. In the
event that you must remove AC power from the system, disconnect all four
power cords before servicing the system.
The (redundant) CP power supplies are designated in the CLI as 1/1 (top)
and 1/2 (bottom). Facing the back of the system, the (redundant) DP power
supplies are designated as 2/1 (right) and 2/2 (left).
If you receive an e-mail notification of a power supply failure, consult the
ARX SNMP Reference,
The following example output from the CLI
show chassis chassinfo
command shows two power supplies installed and online – one in the CP
(1/1) and one in the DP (2/1):
