Functions of the "Baud Rate" setting
The
"Baud Rate"
setting has more functions than adjusting the baud rate of
the display. Depending on the display version, following functions exists:

Display without installed EPU
The setting
"Baud Rate"
adjusts the baud rate of the external RS232 control
device (e.g. Laptop, PC..) if no EPU is installed. Proceed as follows:
To chance the baud rate:

to select the desired baud rate and then press
ENTER

NOTE:

After adjusting the
"Baud Rate"
, the baud rate of the RS232
communication device must be changed for controlling the display, too.
Display with installed EPU
If an EPU is installed, the
"Baud Rate"
adjusts the baud rate of the external
RS232 control device or of the EPU and also switches the RS232
communication between the EPU and an external device (e.g. Laptop, PC..).
"Baud Rate"
contains a submenu with the settings for the baud rate and the
setting
"UART Port"
for switching between EPU and external device. Proceed
as follows:
To switch the RS232 communication to EPU/Extern:

to enter the submenu of
"Baud Rate"
.

Press

or
►
to switch the option
EPU/Extern
and then press
ENTER
.
Touch-Display with installed EPU
If an EPU is installed in Touch-Display, the
"Baud Rate"
adjusts the baud rate of
the external RS232 control device. The Touch-Frame can be used to control the
EPU or any other external device (e.g. Laptop, PC..).
The control of the EPU or an external device can be switched with the setting
"UART Port"
in the submenu of
"Baud Rate"
.
To control the EPU by the Touch-Frame select EPU in the
"UART Port".
