Internal Web Pages
This section introduces using the Internal Web Page to operate the FOX3 matrix switcher,
including:

Accessing the Internal Web Page
•
The matrix can be configured through its LAN port, connected via a LAN or WAN, using a
web browser such as the Microsoft
®
Internet Explorer
®
. This chapter describes the factory-
installed HTML pages, which are always available and cannot be erased or overwritten.
NOTE:
If the Ethernet connection to the matrix switcher is unstable, try turning off
the proxy server in the web browser. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, click
Tools
>
Internet
Options
>
Connections
>
LAN
Settings
, uncheck the
Use
a
proxy
server
...
box, and then click
OK
.
Accessing the Internal Web Page
Access the FOX3 Matrix Switcher internal web page as follows:
1.
Connect the FOX3 device to a LAN or WAN using the rear panel RJ-45 LAN connector
(see

Open a web browser on a PC connected on the same LAN or WAN.
3.
Enter the FOX3 Matrix IP address in the browser
Address
field.
NOTE:
If the local system administrators have not changed the value, the factory-
specified default is
192.168.254.254
.
4.
Press the <
Enter
> key on the keyboard.
5.
The FOX3 is password protected. Enter a user name (
user
or
admin
) in the
Username
field and the password in the
Password
field when prompted (see
page 41).
NOTE:
The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this device have
been set to the device serial number. In the event of a complete system reset, the
passwords convert to the default, which is
extron
for the
Admin
and
User
