VI. Storage and
winter maintenance
y
Water must not freeze inside the pump set. In the event
that the pump set is not being used or if there is a risk
of water freezing inside the pump set, disassemble the
pump set, remove the pump from the water and the
water pipes, from the water tank and pour any residual
water out of the pump. Prior to disassembling the pump
set, place the pump into a container filled with clean
water and rinse out the pump with clean water by running
it, which will prevent any material from drying inside it.
Protect the pump set against children.
y
Protect the power supply cables against damage by
rodents. They like gnawing away at cable insulation.

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
AT THE END OF ITS LIFETIME
y
The control unit and the pump are electrical equipment.
According to European Directive (EU) 2012/19, electrical
and electronic equipment must not be thrown out with
household waste because they contain substances
hazardous to the environment, and
must be handed over for ecological dis-
posal at specified electrical waste
collection points. You can find informa-
tion about these locations at your local
town council office or at your vendor.
vessel welder and, prior to the pressure vessel being put
into operation after repairs, the pressure vessel must
be tested using a testing over-pressure that must not
be greater than 1.43 multiple of the highest permitted
PS pressure (see EN 13831). The pressure test may, for
safety reasons, only be performed using water and not
air, and must be performed by an accredited pressure
equipment technical inspector, where no leaks may
occur during the hydraulic overpressure test.
The first pressure test on the vessel was performed
during production before the product was shipped and
is a condition for the CE certification marking and for
its permitted sale on the EU market. It is not possible
to designate these vessels with the CE marking and to
supply them to the European Union market without the
performance of the first pressure test during produc-
tion, see PED directive (EU) 2014/68 and norm EN 13831
as amended.
y
Regularly check that the vessel exhibits no external signs
of corrosion, leakage or other mechanical damage. In the
event that a leak is identified, do not use the vessel, and
arrange for its replacement with an original part.
For the safe operation of the pressure vessel, we reco-
mmend that you have regular inspections of the pressu-
re vessel performed by an accredited pressure vessels
technical inspector because the vessel may be subject
to internal corrosion and the wall of the vessel may
become perforated, the vessel may crack and injury to
people or animals and the leakage of water may result.
y
The water tank may only be used with the supplied
control unit (pressure sensor) with the cut-in and cut-
-out pressure defined in the technical specifications.
Using a control unit with different cut-in and cut-out
pressures or changing the settings of the cut-in / cut-
-out pressure on the supplied control unit is, for safety
reasons, forbidden.
y
In the event that the water tank is damaged, replace it
with an original unit supplied by the manufacturer.
y
Operate the pressure control unit and the pressure
vessel, for safety reasons, under the conditions speci-
fied in the technical specifications of the user‘s manual
and marked on the rating label of the pressure vessel
and the control unit.
