CHECK THE AIR PRESSURE
IN THE WATER TANK
y
Perform the air pressure test on the water
tank regularly approx. 1× per 3 months.
When checking the pressure, disconnect
the pump from the el. power supply and
open the outlet valve (the water must not
be prevented from exiting out the outlet).
After the water pressure in the water
tank has fallen completely, measure the
pressure on the air fill valve using a tyre
pressure meter. The air pressure in the tank
should be in the range 1.2-1.5 bar, i.e. the
pressure to which the tank was pressurised
prior to being put into service. If necessary,
top up the pressure using a tyre pump or
a car compressor to the required level.
Always check the air pressure when you
feel that the pump is turning on and off too
frequently.
•
ATTENTION - OPERATION TEST
y
After putting it into operation, monitor
the control unit to see that it turns off the
pump motor when the cut-out pressure
of 3.5 bar is reached. In the event that it
does not shut off the motor, immediately
disconnect the power supply to the control
unit from the el. power source, and arrange
for a replacement of the control unit for
a flawless original unit from the manu-
facturer. Likewise, check whether all the
threaded connections on the pump set are
tight (are not leaking). In the event of any
leaks, disconnect the control unit from the
el. power source and seal the thread better
with plumbing Teflon tape.
IV. Safety Instructions
y
The set with the water tank may only be used for clean
utility (non-potable) water that is free of sediments,
sand, silt, etc. The set must not be used for pumping
liquids intended for human consumption or for other
types of liquids.
y
When using the pump set, follow the instructions provi-
ded in the user‘s manual of the compressor.
y
The pump set must be powered using
a power socket that is equipped with an
RCD residual current device with a shut-
-off current of 30 mA, which forms part of an approved
permanently installed electrical system approved by an
electrical inspector with the necessary qualifications.
y
Prevent live cables from being subjected to mechanical
or thermal damage.
Wind a protective material, e.g. a textile, around the
location where the power cord comes into contact with
a sharp or coarse edge. In the event that vehicles drive
over the power supply cable then the cable must be
housed inside durable protection.
y
The pump must not be connected to electrical
current when there are people or animals in the
water. When the pump is running or when it is
under voltage current, avoid coming into contact
with the pumped liquid or conductive parts and
ensure that people or animals do not
come into contact with the pumped
liquid as this could result in injury by
electrical shock in the event that the
insulation on the pump‘s power cable were to be
damaged.
y
Prior to installation and servicing/
maintenance works, disconnect the power
supply cable from the el. power source.
y
In the event that the insulation on the power
cord of the pump is damaged, immediate-
ly disconnect it from the el. power source.
y
Only spare parts of the manufacturer may be used for
repairs.
y
Service repairs may only be performed by an authorised
service centre for the Extol® brand.
y
No welding work may be performed on the water pre-
ssure vessel by amateurs. Welding repairs on pressure
vessels may only be performed by a qualified pressure
a voltage range of 110-240 V~50/60 Hz. Likewise, check
that the power socket is equipped with a residual
current device (FI) RCD with a shut-off current of 30 mA
or less. This residual current device must be installed
into a permanent electrical circuit that is approved by
an electrical inspector with the necessary qualifications.

WARNING
y
The pump must never be operated with a pressure
vessel without the supplied pressure control unit, which
shuts off the operation of the water pump when the
max. safe operating pressure is reached. In the event
that the pump is operated without the supplied control
unit, the pressure vessel will be over-pressurised and it
may be torn apart.
y
Deep well pump models Extol® Premium
8895061;
8895062; 8895063
are, for safety reasons, intended
only for the control unit Extol® Premium
8895150R
and pressure vessel Extol® Premium
8895150PV
. The
pressure vessel is rated for the cut-out pressure of
the control unit of 3.5 bar and the use of a different
control unit with a higher cut-out pressure or another
pressure vessel, or other inter-connections, may result
in dangerous operation. The inter-connections (fittings)
must be rated for a minimum pressure of at least 4 bar.
Adjusting the cut-in and cut-out pressure on the
factory-set control unit is, for safety reasons, not
permitted.
FITTING THE WATER TANK
1) Screw the pressure control unit, with the cable holes
pointing upwards, on to the brass connection fitting
with 5 outlets, i.e. above the pressure gauge, then the
pressure gauge as shown in fig. 3 and screw the brass
connection fitting on to the tread of the water tank.

FITTING THE WATER PUMP OUTLET
y
Fit the water pump outlet with a non-return flap valve
brass connector fitting. The connector fitting must
be installed in the orientation ensuring that the non-
-return flap valve opens when water flows out of the
water pump.
COLLECTING THE PUMP TO THE WATER TANK
y
Purchase the necessary connection materials for
connecting the pump to the water tank at a plumbing
supply store.
•
ATTENTION
y
Seal all the threaded connections by winding on
plumbing Teflon tape on to the tread and tighten them
firmly.
