IX. Storage
Store the detector in a dry place at a temperature range from -20°C to +50°C ideally
stored in a protective case (if included) or in the original packaging. Prior to storing the
detector for an extended period of time, remove the battery.
X. Waste disposal
PACKAGING MATERIALS
y
Throw packaging materials into a container for the respective sorted waste.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
y
Do not dispose of unserviceable commodities in household waste, but
dispose of them in an environmentally safe manner. According to Directive
2012/19 EU, electrical appliances must not be thrown out with household
waste, but rather handed over for ecological disposal at an electrical equi-
pment disposal point. The battery must be removed from the electrical
equipment prior to its disposal. You can find information about collection points and
collection conditions at your local town council office.
BATTERY
y
An unusable battery in the electrical equipment must be taken
out of the electrical equipment prior to disposal and must not
be, pursuant to Directive 2006/66 ES, thrown out with communal waste or into the environ-
ment, but rather must be handed over for ecological disposal/recycling at a battery collecti-
on point.
You can find information about these collection points at your local town council office.

If there is metal without voltage present in the wood, with the wood
detection function active, it will not be shown on the display together
with the wood symbol in the form of an icon (only when under current,
see signalling above).
SPIRIT LEVEL FUNCTION
(MEASUREMENT OF DEVIATION FROM THE HORIZONTAL PLANE)
When button 5 on fig. 1 is pressed, the display will appear as in fig. 3, where the
deviation of the moving dot from the centre of the target shows the deviation of the
detector from the horizontal plane in degrees ± ° on axes x/y. This function can be
used as a spirit level when the detector is placed on an object.
FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT USING THE DETECTOR
•
ATTENTION
y
For technological reasons, the detector cannot guarantee one-hundred percent cer-
tainty of detection, and is rather used for approximate localisation.
The detection sensitivity may be affected by the environment shielding the scanned
object, e.g. strong insulation of water pipes, wallpapers on walls, metal braces, etc..
y
Protect the detector against moisture, entry of water and direct sunlight.
y
Do not expose the detector to extreme temperatures and temperature fluctuations.
Operate the device in the prescribed temperature range. During low temperatures,
before turning on the detector, wait until its temperature reaches the ambient tempe-
rature, which is in the temperature range for the operation of the detector (ideally at
a temperature above 5°C). During extreme temperatures or temperature fluctuations,
measurement errors may occur, the display may malfunction, in particular in cold wea-
ther or when the device is damaged.
y
The function of the detector may be negatively affected by transmitter devices in its
near vicinity, e.g. microwave ovens, powerful radio transmitters, high voltage power
lines, or strong magnetic fields, etc.
y
Do not use the detector in an environment with an explosive atmosphere or where fla-
mmable gasses or vapours or dust are present, where there is an explosion hazard.
•
ATTENTION
y
The detector may negatively affect the operation of pacemakers. Therefore, consult the
use of the detector with a medical doctor.
VII. Maintenance and Repair
CLEANING
y
For cleaning, use only a dry or moist soft wiping cloth with a detergent solution. Do not
use any aggressive cleaning agents (bleaches, liquid sand), or organic solvents contai-
ning flammable substances (this would damage the plastic on the detector). Prevent
water from entering the device.
Notes:
y
Do not paste any stickers or other items on to the detection zone surface (fig. 1, positi-
on 8) on the underside of the detector.
y
If possible, place the detector into its original packaging or case (if included).
VIII. References on the label and symbols
Read the user's manual before
use.
Electrical waste symbol. Do
not throw the product out with
household waste, hand it over for
ecological disposal.
Meets EU requirements.
