5. Install the knob and its hardware.
Assembling the Tubes
1. Remove and retain the hardware installed in the
upper tube.
2. The upper tube needs to be shortened. Measure 5
inches (12.7 cm) from the top end of the tube, create
marks, and apply masking tape around the tube as a
guide. Carefully cut the tube and discard the end.

3. Insert the upper tube into the hopper seal – push in
then pull out so that the seal is extended outward.
4.
Set the deck in lowest cutting position.
5. Slide the lower tube onto the blower and attach the
latches.
6. Measure 3–3 1/2 inches (7.6–8.9 cm) from the top
end of the lower tube and create guide marks.
7. Slide the lower tube inside the upper tube until the
3–3 1/2 inches (7.6–8.9 cm) mark is reached. Rotate
the upper tube so that the end in the hopper points
towards the center of the hopper. The parting line
on the tube will be slightly to the right of the center
rivet as shown in Figure 16.
