FORMat[:DATA]?
Description
This query returns the format and length of data readings.
Syntax :FORMat[:DATA]?
Parameter(s) None.
Response Syntax <type>[,<length>]

:
Format of data readings.
³
ASCii: numeric data is formatted as ASCII bytes such as
<NR1 NUMERIC RESPONSE DATA>, <NR2 NUMERIC
RESPONSE DATA> or <NR3 NUMERIC RESPONSE DATA>
representation, as approriate.

PACKed: data is formatted as a series of 8-bit binary data
bytes.

length
:
If the data is returned in ASCii format, the <length> is the
number of significant digits to be returned.
A <length> value of zero indicates that the device selects the
number of significant digits to be returned.
If the data is returned in PACKed format, the <length> is not
used and always returns 0.

FORM:DATA? returns PACKed, 0
