Checking readiness for operation
The following sections will need to be completed
after:
▪
each Ventilation Circuit assembly
▪
each BVM replacement
▪
each care and reassembly procedure
Power On Test
Once the ventilator is turned on, the mechanical
assembly will immediately begin to move to its
starting position (this is called the Calibration
sequence). The system must be calibrated before
going through any other testing procedures. Once the
system has calibrated, the
first check
is to ensure
that the arms of the assembly are
touching
the BVM.
The following Default settings take effect on power
up. Confirm all DISPLAY SETTINGS ARE AS PER Figure
F-7 and Figure F-8 (dashes represent actual device
readings).
Once the default settings are verified, roll through all
the CONTROLS and ALARMS options of the UI, and
ensure that the device adopts new settings.

WARNING!
All testing procedures must always be performed
off patient.
NOTE:
If the arms are not touching the BVM, there is an
issue with the Calibration system and the user
should not use the device until the issue is
resolved.
CAUTION
Settings are reset to defaults after each power
cycle.
