6.29 - How do I turn Snapshots On and Off?
Through OneSystem, for OneBlox running version 2.8 or later snapshots may be enabled or
disabled on existing and new shares and exports. After navigating to the correct share/export in
OneSystem, select
‘
actions
’
and then
‘
edit
’
.
Caution:
For any existing shares or exports when snapshots are turned off, any existing
snapshots for that share
will be deleted
. This operation cannot be undone. Snapshots may be
turned on again, but the recovery point will begin at the point snapshots are turned on.
6.30 - How do I Hide the Snapshot Directory?
With OneBlox 2.9 and later, admins now have the ability to hide the snapshot directory from users.
In OneSystem, after joining the Ring with Active Directory, admins can select access based
enumeration (ABE) for a given SMB share. From here, admins can manage the visibility through
Windows Shared Folder Settings.
