Standard validity period of an identification medium:
Preset period of time for which the identification medium is valid after updating at
the coding station or at the online wall scanner. The duration can be individually
adjusted when issuing identification media. After expiry of the period, the identifi-
cation medium becomes invalid and must be updated again at the coding station or
on the online wall scanner. The shorter the duration, the safer the system, because
the identification medium becomes invalid at an earlier time.
The recommended validity period is 14 days.

Extension threshold for the validity period
The validity period extension threshold defines the time period within which, the
validity of the identification medium can be extended at the online wall scanner or
the coding station.

Default authorisation period for replacement media:
Standard authorisation duration of replacement identification media. System default
72 Stunden. The default setting can be changed individually when issuing replace-
ment media (see chapter on identification media).

Automatic user logoff:
After the set time in hours, the user (for example, administrator, receptionist,
maintenance technician, ...) will be logged out (user login) for security reasons. To
operate the software again, a new registration of the user is necessary.

IP Adresse of the server:
To connect the coding station to the server; the address
is written to the configuration file. This is needed to add a coding station to the
system.
During a local installation, this field automatically displays the IP address of the
local installation.
