Fitting
►
Use new (precote coated) original counter sunk screws (# 91) to mount the motor.
►
Place the motor in the motor mount and align it so that the cable outlets, seen from behind the motor, are in a
10 o
'
clock position.
►
Position the six counter sunk screws (# 91) and tighten them in diagonal order with a torque of 1.3 Nm.
►
Mount the belt pulleys (# 98 and 94) with the toothed belts (# 38) and (# 58) and shim rings back on the motor
shaft.
Make sure that the belt pulleys are installed in the correct position!
Mount the belt pulleys so that the inscriptions on the free wheels face each other (lettering on lette-
ring ). Incorrect installation can lead to damage during commissioning.
► Fit the fixing collar (# 105). Before tightening the set screw (# 106), make sure that there is some axial play on
the adjusting ring.
5.4.3
Dismantle sealing gear
Dismantling
► Loosen the threaded pin, remove the fixing collar (# 105).
►
Remove belt pulley (# 98) with thoothed belt (# 58).
►
Remove four cylinder head screws (# 95).
► Pull off the motor mount incl. motor support (# 8).
►
The crank shaft (# 18) can be easily pulled out after loosening the connecting rod assembly.
►
To remove the belt pulley (only if necessary), the internal shaft retaining ring (a) must be loosened.
►
If necessary, the crank shaft (# 18) can be further disassembled by loosening the three counter sunk screws
(Torx) (# 91).
Fitting
►
Fitting is performed in reverse order.
►
Tighten the three counter sunk screws (# 91) with 1.3 Nm and secure with Loctite 222.
►
When mounting the belt pulley (# 38), ensure that it is installed in the correct position (chapter 5.4.2). Incorrect
installation can lead to damage during commissioning.
