Cleaning/replacing jaws, notchers and cutter
Dismantling
►
Remove battery from tool.
►
Remove front covers (chapter 4.1).
– The jaw mechanism, which is only held in position by grease, is now open.
►
Remove two jaw actuators (# 160) and pull out jaw pins (# 163).
►
Remove notcher (# 169), jaws (# 161) and rear notcher (# 169) and pull out jaw axles (# 158).
►
Pull out the guidance bolt (# 180) and remove the rear jaw actuators (# 160) and the cutter (# 167) mounted
behind the jaw carrier downwards.
►
Clean notchers (# 169), jaws (# 161) and cutter (# 167), check for wear and replace if necessary.The notchers
(# 169) can also be turned 180° to use the second cutting edge.
Fitting
►
Lubricate the cleaned or replaced parts at the joints and sliding points with universal grease (e.g. Klüber GBU Y
131, Microlube).
►
Bring cutter (# 167) behind jaw carrier into mounting position, and the rear jaw actuator (# 160) into position in
front of jaw carrier and fix with guidance bolt (
# 180). Push the guidance bolt forward as far as it will go and align
the milled surfaces vertically as shown in the drawing.
►
Fitting is performed in reverse order.
