NexLog Recorder User Manual v2.2.0

4.9. SETUP: Users and Security
4.9.1. Users
The Users Setup page allows maintenance of user accounts on the recorder. A
user who is to access NexLog functionality must have a user account and
provide the login credentials for that user account in order to gain access to the
recorder. The user account they use to login with will determine what
permissions to recorder resources and options they have. User accounts can be
configured as 'Administrators', meaning they have access to all NexLog
functionality and options. All other users will only be able to access aspects of
the system as their Permissions dictate. Permissions can be assigned directly to
user accounts, or Permissions can be assigned to User Groups, which in turn
will apply to all Users in those user group. (See Security: User Groups and
Security: Permissions). The main NexLog Users Page displays a table with one
user account per row.
