Squeeze both handle releases and move the handle to
the travel position:

Releasing the Carrier from the Base
Move the handle to
Position 1 (Carry)
by squeezing
in on both handle releases and rotating the handle
until it locks into place above the carrier.
Squeeze the carrier release handle while lifting up
the carrier.

To remove the base from vehicle,
push down on the Lock-Off while pushing back on Lock-Off
release tab and lift it up (see Step 3 and 4 on page 58) then
unbuckle the vehicle belt and remove it from the belt path.
