Problem:
PUMP WON’T TURN ON
Possible Cause
Possible Cause:
Possible Cause
No batteries or low
batteries.
The membrane is not moving
on the valve.
Suction setting too low.
Valve not assembled to flange.
Membrane worn, torn or not
assembled to valve.
Dried milk in pump parts.
Membrane not sealing.
Tubing or tubing adapter is
loose or not connected.
Not a good seal on your
breast.
Low batteries.
AC adapter not connected
properly.
Make sure fresh, brand-name, alkaline, non-
rechargeable batteries are installed correctly
(p. 9-10). If suction level 1 light is flashing
when the pump is off, the batteries are too
low to effectively pump.
Clean the valve and reassemble, per step 1 in
Assembling the Flange section (p. 7).
Choose a higher suction level by pressing the
suction increase button (p. 12).
Attach the valve firmly to flange (p. 7).
Replace membrane or ensure that it is
connected properly to the valve (p. 7). To
maintain optimal performance with daily
use, it is recommended that membranes be
replaced every 60 days.
Follow cleaning instructions. This pump can
be easily disassembled and washed (p. 6 and
14).
Make sure valve and membrane are clean, with
no debris on the surface of the seal. Make sure
membrane lies flat against the surface of the
valve (p. 7).
Check assembly of flange. All parts must be
assembled properly and fit together snugly,
without gaps, for the pump to provide
maximum comfortable suction (p. 7 and 8).
Reposition the flange to get a better seal. If the
breast becomes wet with milk, you may need to
dry skin and flange and start again (p. 11).
Make sure fresh, brand-name, alkaline, non-
rechargeable batteries are installed correctly
(p. 7).
Check adapter connections (p. 9).
