4.4.19 Switches
Electrical services may be switched on or off while airborne. With a low
battery charge they should be left OFF to leave all available power for the
start. Gyro type instruments should be turned ON after the start to give
them time to erect. Turning OFF an electrical system may be required in
flight if an electrical fire occurs.
