3.4 Measurement of control surfaces deflections
3.4.1 Required deflections
The deflection of the control surfaces are specified in the Control Surfaces Deflection Record (see
Appendices of this Manual) and in the following Figure. A protractor with deflecting hand is used
by the airplane manufacturer to measure deflections. The protractor is attached to a control
surface with a hand clamp. There are also alternative procedures in the following text.
