2.3.7.3 Cockpit canopy
The bubble canopy consists of two parts. The front perspex portion can be tilted forward and is
attached to a composite frame. The fixed rear portion is made of perspex. The canopy is attached
to the nose section of the fuselage by two pins which make it possible for the canopy to be tilted
forward. For easier manipulation, the weight of the canopy is counterbalanced by two gas struts
which allow effortless opening. The canopy is equipped with a lock on the upper rear section of the
frame.
