When ZOOM is on, the screen if divided with the vertical line into two equal parts (see the
picture). The near bottom area will be reflected in the right part область and the ordinary
processed or raw data (depending on the selected reflection mode) along the whole route from the
surface to the bottom will be shown in the left part. The sign of “zoom” mode is the magnifier sign
with the figure in the middle appearing in the top right angle of the screen instead of the scale
value.
There are differences for ZOOM in the WINTER and
SUMMER modes. In summer the near-bottom area is
displayed in the ZOOM window, where the bottom pixel of
the screen always fit in with the “white line” of the bottom,

pressed. If you slightly put down the sensor into the hole in
ice, then it is possible to raise the bottom line in the ZOOM
window. It allows examining the near-bottom area in more
details. When passing from one hole in ice to another, it is
necessary to press the left button twice to turn on the ZOOM for another depth.
ZOOM mode is useful when working at big depths from 8-10 meters. It is not easy to see
what is near the bottom at such depths as the display resolution is 120 pixels only or 5cm in vertical.
For example, at depth 20 meters the object in 15сm will be of the size of one pixel, and in ZOOM
