bottom or constantly use the scale set manually through MENU. Besides, the near-bottom
reflection mode in the increased mode (scale-up) – so-called “zoom”.
Auto-scaling mode (the sonar starts working after changing the battery) enables the device
to select itself an appropriate scale to locate the bottom line approximately on the level of one third
from the bottom part of the screen. When moving on the boat with too much change of the depth
the device will be automatically switched over to the necessary depth scale, accompanying with
the double sound signal and separating the reflection sections with different scale with the vertical
dotted line. The sign of the auto-scaling mode is letter “A” in the top upper corner of the screen
immediately after the figure showing the current scale. The sonar provides for several auto-scaling
modes: 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 25m.
You can select the scale manually as well. For this purpose the desirable scale value is set in
MENU (natively it equals to 7m), after that the sonar is changed over to the manual mode when
pushing the left button, with this letter “M” will be displayed instead of letter “A”.
In the manual auto-scaling mode the sonar will not change its scale even if the bottom line
goes down the screen limit. This mode may be useful if some water layers are of interest to definite
depth but not all the route from the surface to the bottom.
ZOOM
For detailed viewing of the near bottom water layer, i.e. the objects located in this layer, the
sonar provides for the special mode
“zoom”.
To change over to this mode the left button must be
pushed twice if the sonar is in the auto-scale mode “M” and once if it is in manual one “A”.
Scale of “zoom” (1,2 or 3 meters) is established through the MENU in the SETTINGS
section. (page 30).
