c) Ready outdoor sensor(s)
You can link up to 8 outdoor sensors to the weather station. It is necessary to initialize new
sensor(s) as follows:
1. Select a channel.
2. Set the temperature unit.
3. Install the batteries.
4.
Repeat the above steps if you have more than one sensor to set up.
5. Link the sensor(s) to the weather station.
Chapter ‘9. Outdoor sensors’ on page 50 guides you through the necessary steps and
settings to link the sensor(s) to the weather station.
d) Select a placement/mounting location
• To ensure accurate temperature measurement, place the outdoor sensor out of direct
sunlight and away from any heat sources, vents or rain.
• Optimal distance between weather station and
outdoor sensor is given as 3 – 30 m (theoretically
100 m).
• To maximize wireless range, place the weather
station away from large metallic items, thick walls,
metal surfaces, or other objects that may limit
wireless communication.
• To prevent wireless interference, place both units
at least 9 m away from electronic devices (TV,
computer, microwave, radio, etc).
e) Placement
• Fold out the stand
(B3)
at the rear of the weather station.
• Place the weather station on an even, non-slip surface.
