Line feeding
WARNING!
The trimming line will be thrown out. Danger of injury especially for bystanders.
During use the tip of the trimming line (18) will get shorter due to wear. Regularly check
the condition of the trimming line (18) and adjust if necessary. The trimming spool (19) is
equipped with a knife, helping to cut the trimming line (18) while operating.
1. Start the on/off switch (2) and bump the trimmer head (12) on the ground, the trimmer
spool (19) will release trimming line (18) out.
2. Excess line will be cut by the knife (14) and should remain inside the radius of the plastic
guard (13).
NOTE:
¬
The line feeding system works only when the appliance is switched on.
¬
The trimming line will wear faster and require more feeding if cutting is done along
sidewalks, other abrasive surfaces or heavier weeds are being cut.
Trimming (Fig.8)
1. Hold the grass trimmer firmly with two hands with a gap between the grass trimmer and
your right side.
2. Stand upright, do not lean forward and pay attention to posture, keep both feet apart to
help retain your balance.
3. Hold the trimmer head (12) just above the ground at an angle of approximately 30°.
4. Move the trimmer with a slow regular arc from left to right before moving it back to the
starting position before trimming the next area.
5. Ensure the cutting attachment remains clean and free from off-cuts that may cause it
to jam, check regularly, release the on/off switch and remove the battery pack before
checking.
6. Trim longer grass in stages; do not cut long grass in one cut, for the best result, cut
longer grass in steps.
Tips
◊
For the best result, do not cut wet grass because it tends to stick to the trimmer head
and guard, prevents proper discharge of grass trimmings, and could cause you to slip
and fall.
◊
Pay special attention when performing the work close to trees and bushes. The trimmer
head could damage sensitive bark, and damage fence posts.
◊
While trimming, the cutting device is possible to be blocked by grass or unevenly ground,
so the trimmer will turn off automatically due to over current. Therefore, release the on/
off switch (3) for over a few seconds and then press down again to go on with trimming.
After use
1. Switch the grass trimmer off, remove the battery pack (23) and let it cool down.
2. Check, clean and store the appliance.
