7.6. Useful range in special ambient conditions
In ambient conditions in which mist, rain, smoke or dust occurs, the range must be corrected. You will find the correction
factors in the following table.
Table 5: Correction factor Fc
Ambient conditions
Correction factor Fc
Mist
0.25
Vapors
0.50
Dust
0.50
Dense smoke
0.25
The correction can be calculated using the following formula.
Pu = Pm x Fc
Table 6: Calculation of correction factor Fc

ATTENTION!
Loss of the safety function due to the formation of condensed water
Condensed water can disable the device's protective function
Avoid sudden temperature fluctuations in the place of use
Clean your system regularly.
7.7. Usage of several items of protective equipment (multiple systems)
WARNING
Malfunction, loss of the safety function due to optical interference
Light beams from other transmitters may be received due to incorrect positioning.
Transmitters and receivers must be positioned such that the beams emitted by a transmitter can
only be received by the related receiver.
If several systems are used, it is to be ensured that the function of the transmitters and receivers is not degraded.
The following positioning examples can be used:
No.
Description
A
Positioning two systems, side-by-side
B
Positioning two systems, one on top of the other
C
Positioning two systems in an L shape
