7.2. Safety distance, light curtains (vertical mounting)
For vertical mounting, first the resolution of the device is to be determined.
Depending on the result, a differentiation is made between two cases:
Case A: Resolution ≥ 50 mm
Case B: Resolution < 50 mm
The related section is to be followed depending on the result.

Case A: Resolution ≥ 50 mm
The safety distance S is calculated using the following formula:
S = 1600 (t1 + t2) + 850
Important!
The following distances are to be maintained during the calculation:
Ì Distance surface of the floor (G) – first light beam = H1 max. 300 mm
Ì Distance surface of the floor (G) – last light beam = H2 max. 900 mm
