AH ((RFC2402) provides integrity, authentication, replay resistance and 
non-repudiation but not encryption. 
select AH, if no encryption is required or if NAT traversal is required. 
 
ESP provides the same services plus encryption.   
If ESP is selected, an encryption and an authentication protocols must be 
selected.
