Cleaning and maintenance
Check seal on heat exchanger cover
Check the seals on both heat exchanger covers to
ensure they are in good condition and replace them if
necessary.

WARNING!
The boiler must not be operated with defective
seals.
Check safety switch of the discharge
Check the safety switches on the drop chute and the
maintenance opening.

WARNING!
Danger of crushing from stoker drive chain
The boiler must be switched off. This prevents
injuries caused by switching the boiler on inadver-
tently.
WARNING!
Accidental remote switch-on
When performing maintenance work on the boiler,
remote access to the ETAtouch control system
must be prevented. Therefore, deactivate the
"meinETA" and further ETAtouch control screens
as well as disconnecting possibly connected
control systems from the ETAtouch controller.
In the factory configuration, the discharge screw
and the rotary valve (or stoker screw) alternate in
operation. This alternating operation of the screws is
controlled by the sensor that monitors the position of
the rotary valve.
If the rotary valve cannot reach the position of the
sensor, a warning is displayed on the screen. The
warning can be acknowledged but does not stop
heating. It is therefore helpful to check the boiler
control system's error log to see whether the error has
occurred in the past.

If the discharge screw and the stoker screw are in
operation simultaneously, the setting for the [Rot-
ValveStop] function needs to be checked in the boiler's
text menu.
It can be deliberately set to [No] if the used fuel
requires it. The function can be seen with the [Service]
access level under:
