Press both strings into opposite slots
(string length about 15 cm).
-

pull the strings out through the
openings of the spool.

Hold the spool carefully.
-

Press the spool in and turn it clockwise as
far as it turns.

Hold the spool and twist it slightly back.
The spool must remain firmly fixed in the
pushed-in position.
-
Screw the cover back to the spool and
hand-tighten it.

Adjusting the strings to the correct length
-
Push the underside of trimmer head by hand and pull the strings out on both sides
until they are longer than the guard edges. The string ends are cut to the correct
length by the knife.
Storing
Let the appliance cool down before storing it.
If possible, store the appliance in the
horizontal position. Make sure that no fuel
can leak from the carburetor or the fuel tank.
If you store the appliance for an extended
period (4 weeks or longer), empty the fuel
tank. Start the motor and keep it running until
it stops because it runs out of gasoline.
If necessary, remove the lower shaft and hang
it up separately:
-
Slacken the tightening knob.
-
Push in the locking stud and pull out the
lower trimmer shaft with a light twist.
