Tap
Add New,
unless the wireless network was already detected, in which case tap the network name.
Step 4
In the
General
tab, enter a network name. If the network was detected, the network name is entered
automatically and cannot be changed.

The Internet
.
Step 6
If the wireless network requires an encryption key, tap the
Network Key
tab and select the appropriate
authentication method and data encryption type used. This will most likely be either WPA-PSK
authentication and TKIP encryption or Shared authentication & WEP encryption. Once you have selected
the encryption type, enter your network key and tap OK. Then tap OK one additional time to have your
handheld device connect to the wireless network.
If the wireless network does not require an encryption key, tap the
Network Key
tab, select
Open
for the
authentication type and
Disabled
for the Data Encryption type. Once you have completed the above tap
OK. Then tap OK one additional time to have your handheld device connect to the wireless network.
Step 7
Once the above process has been properly completed you will now be able to access your wireless
network from your handheld device.
Accessing the PDA Interface
In order to access the Fireball’s PDA interface from your handheld device you will either need
to know the Fireball’s IP address or it’s Server Name. You can retrieve the Fireball’s IP
address by going into
Setup>Utilities>System Information
from the Fireball’s on screen
display. You can set/view the Fireball’s server name by going into
Setup>Network>Server
Settings
from the Fireball’s on screen display.
Once you have retrieved either the Fireball’s IP address or Server Name and have your
handheld device connected to the wireless network, you are ready to access the Fireball’s
PDA interface.
PalmOS
1. Tap the Home icon from the status bar and select Web.
2. Enter the Fireball’s PDA interface address in the devices web browser as displayed
below.
Microsoft Windows Mobile
1. Tap the Start icon and select Internet Explorer.
2. Enter the Fireball’s PDA interface address in the devices web browser as displayed
below.
