CONDITIONING THE BATTERY
Batteries which have been stored (charged or
discharged) will generally not be capable of full
capacity until the batteries have been fully cycled two
or three times. (Charging the battery in an Ericsson
rapid charger and then discharging the battery pack
with the radio until low battery is indicated is
considered one cycle.)
INSTALLING THE BATTERY PACK
1. Ensure the ON/OFF/VOLUME control knob is in
the OFF (detent) position.
2. Align the battery pack tabs with the battery
mounting plate slots on the back of the radio (see
Figure 6).
3. Insert the tabs into the slots, push down and slide
the battery toward the battery latch until the battery
latch clicks into place.
