RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK DISPOSAL

The product that you have purchased
contains a rechargeable battery. The
battery is recyclable. At the end of its
useful life, under various state and local
laws, it may be illegal to dispose of this
battery into the municipal waste stream.
Check with your local solid waste offi-

cials for details in your area for recycling options or
proper disposal. Call Toll Free 1-800-8-BATTERY for
information and/or procedures for returning recharge-
able batteries in your state.

INSTALLING THE BATTERY PACK

1.

Ensure the POWER ON-OFF/VOLUME knob is in
the OFF (detent) position.

2.

Align the battery pack tabs with the battery mounting
plate slots on the back of the radio (see Figure 7).

3.

Insert the tabs into the slots, push down and slide
the battery toward the battery latch until the battery
latch clicks into place.
