The rechargeable batteries used with the radio can
develop a reduced capacity condition sometimes
called the "Memory Effect". This condition can occur
when a battery is continuously charged for long peri-
ods or when a regularly performed duty cycle allows
the battery to expend only a limited portion of its
capacity. The battery pack may show a severe de-
crease in its ability to deliver full capacity for an
extended period. Any rechargeable battery pack
showing signs of reduced capacity should be returned
to a qualified service center for inspection.
