4. If necessary, clean off any adhering contaminants with a
clean, soft cloth or a soft plastic brush.
5. Insert a brush (e.g. Art. No. 20191-279) into the instrument
sheath at least 5 times.
6. Carefully remove the instrument parts from the cleaning
bath.
7. Flush the instrument parts thoroughly under running tap
water (for at least 1minute).
8. Dry the instrument parts, including all the lumens, lightly us-
ing compressed air.
9. Check the instrument parts for contaminating residues and if
necessary repeat the cleaning process.
Disinfection
Disinfect only clean and gently dried instrument parts.
1. Prepare a disinfectant bath with the disinfectant according
to the manufacturer's directions.
2. Carefully lay the instrument parts in the disinfection bath in
such a way that they are completely immersed and do not
come into contact with other instruments or instrument
parts. When doing so, all the lumens must be filled with dis-
infectant solution and there must be no more air bubbles.
3. Leave the instrument parts in the disinfectant bath for the
specified action time.
4. Carefully remove the instrument parts from the disinfectant
bath.
5. Flush the instrument parts thoroughly with sterile distilled
water.
6. Dry the instrument parts thoroughly using compressed air.
Make sure the liquid is removed from all the lumens also.
