Cover open error
The roll paper cover
or the unit cover
was detected
open when
printing.
Close the roll paper cover or the unit cover.
Memory or gate array R/W error
The R/W check did
not operate
properly for the
memory or the
gate array.
Replace the main circuit board unit to see if the
printer is repaired. (See page 2-30.)
High voltage error
The power supply
voltage is high.
Replace the power supply unit to see if the printer is
repaired. (See page C-3.)
Low voltage error
The power supply
voltage is low
Replace the power supply unit to see if the printer is
repaired. (See page C-3.)
CPU execution error
An abnormal CPU
operation was
detected, or the I/F
board is
disconnected.
1. Check whether the I/F board is connected.
2. Replace the main circuit board unit to see if the
printer is repaired. (See page 2-30.)
Drive circuit error
One of the
following was
detection.

Print head
thermistor
detection error
❏
"Lever drive
motor assembly"
error
1. Check if the printer is restored after replacing the
“print head unit” (impact head). (See page 1-14)
2. Check if the printer is restored after replacing the
“thermal head FFC.”
3. Check if the printer is restored after replacing the
“thermal print head set.” (See page 2-28)
4. Check if there is conductivity in the “lever drive
motor assembly.” (See page 1-10) Replace if there
is no conductivity.
5. Check if the printer is restored after replacing the
“lever motor T. P. detector assembly.” (See page 2-
19)
6. Check if the printer is restored after replacing the
main circuit board unit. (See page 2-31)
Head high temperature error
The thermal or
impact head
temperature is high.
This error may occur if you print with high duty. Let
the printer rest. The error may clear automatically
when the temperature drops. If this error occurs
frequently, check that the usage environment is
within specifications.
